Welcome To Our School

On behalf of myself, the staff, governors and pupils, I would like to welcome you to Tottenhall Infant School.

At Tottenhall Infant School, we value each child as an individual and support them to develop their unique abilities and ambitions. We are determined for all pupils to become resilient independent learners, equipped with the skills to achieve their full potential.  Children have a happy, successful journey full of enjoyment and eagerness to learn and achieve well. We are committed to providing the best start in education for all our children in a caring, inclusive and nurturing environment. Throughout our curriculum we aim to challenge and motivate pupils and enable them to participate in a range of high-quality learning opportunities. All our staff and governors work incredibly hard to ensure our children receive an excellent education to ‘be the best they can be.’

To support our mission, we have a set of shared values for all members of our community to embrace. The 5 values of resilience, confidence, persistence, getting along and organisation are embedded throughout our school and are reflected in children’s achievements and individual personalities.

Leaders, governors and staff make sure that safeguarding is robust and protects pupils, staff, visitors and the wider community. Keeping our pupils safe ensures they will be ready to engage in learning across all aspects of school life.

As parents and carers, you are the most important people in our pupil’s lives and we encourage your involvement in school life and value your comments and suggestions on improving the opportunities we provide. Please take some time to browse the website to see what we have to offer our children. We strongly recommend visits in person to the school to get a feel for our ethos and environment.

School tours for prospective parents take place on Wednesday mornings when the headteacher is available to conduct a tour. Please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.

Mrs Zaheen Younis
Headteacher

Pupils enjoy coming to school. They think that teachers make learning fun. Pupils feel safe and well looked after. They try hard to follow the school's values, such as getting along with one another, and being resilient and organised.
